BetterWorld Technology focuses on more than just delighting its customers. BetterWorld is a founding B Corp, having been a leader in the movement since 2007 to create more accountable and positive corporations and citizens. BetterWorld is about putting people and the planet above profits.

BetterWorld Technology is a nationwide IT Managed Services company offering voice and data, software as a service, and cyber Security solutions. The value we deliver to clients like yourself is that You Outsource, We Manage and Deliver a piece, a part, or a whole of your managed IT services.
How long have you been a B Corp?
BetterWorld is a founding B Corp, having been a leader in the movement since 2007.What attracted you to B-Corp?
It is ironic that I had never heard of a B Corp before 2019. What attracted and keeps me is B Corp’s focus on not just shareholders, but rather on considering all stakeholders and the whole ecosystem such as distribution, etc.
Why does B Corp matter to you?
People, simply put, people. I believe that if I were not working for a B Corp that my job probably would have fallen victim to COVID-19. To me that is using business as a force for good. Putting people above profits.
What two or three activities do you do within your company to keep the B Corp mission a key part of your company culture?
I think it is important to evangelize B Corp to people who do not work for a B Corporation so that everyone can find out how business can be used as a force for good. Additionally, I share with companies that seem to be like minded that they should become a B Corp.
If you were encouraging other companies to consider applying for B Corp certification, what would you say to them? Why should they become a B Corp?
Earth, we only get the one planet. We should understand how to be better stewards of it via sustainability, etc. Also, when it comes to people, there is only one you and one me. Let’s do better by us. When you choose to become a B Corp, you are making a commitment to your stakeholders, shareholders and the planet. You are saying that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
