Abisade Folarin

Abisade is a first-year MBA candidate at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, as well as dual Master's degrees in Sustainable Naval Engineering from the University of Napoli Federico II (Italy) and the University of A Coruna (Spain). His professional experience spans prominent organizations in the Oil & Gas and Engineering sectors across Africa and the EU.

Drawn to B Local Georgia by its mission to promote sustainable business practices and foster a sense of community among Georgia businesses, Abisade sees an opportunity to apply his business acumen and passion for sustainability to benefit the business landscape. He envisions contributing his unique perspective and expertise to drive meaningful change and create a more sustainable future for businesses and communities alike. He is also an Afrobeat artiste and finds joy in performing his original compositions and channeling his creativity into creating artworks, some of which have garnered recognition at art exhibitions.
